Spring 2020 Challenge:
Making courses feel like Carleton.... but online

Thursday, May 14, 2020
8:00 a.m.

You are invited to our virtual Breakfast Club. Join us as Melissa Eblen-Zayas, Director of the Perlman Center for Learning and Teaching talks about spring term online learning.

Great teaching, engaging face-to-face classes, and close collaboration between students and faculty are hallmarks of Carleton. When winter term finals wrapped up in mid-March, Carleton faculty and staff had three weeks to prepare for a fully online spring term. Get a behind-the-scenes look at what went into making sure that students had the technology that they needed to connect virtually with Carleton, and how the Perlman Learning & Teaching Center and Academic Technology prepared faculty for the transition. The thing that makes Carleton faculty great teachers -- namely their commitment to students and their creativity -- hasn't changed, and this session will give a few examples of what classes look like this term, as well as discussing some of the inevitable challenges.

Cost: None.

Register online by Wednesday, May 13, if you plan to participate in this Zoom meeting. There is a limit of 40 registrants for this meeting. Additional information about participating in this online meeting will be emailed to registrants.
