Summer Send-Off

Please join Carleton alumni, parents, and new and current students for a potluck picnic! The annual Summer Send-Off is a long time Carleton DC Alumni Club tradition. It’s our way to welcome incoming students and the best opportunity we have all year for the entire local Carleton community to get together. We’ll provide some outdoor games (feel free to bring your own) and light refreshments. Dogs are also welcome in the park. 

Members of the incoming class of 2021, prospective students, and their families need not bring anything. 

What to Bring: Current students, alumni, and your families, please bring a dish (and a serving utensil) to share. Water, chips, and paper products will be provided. 

Last name A-R: entrees or sides (sandwiches, salads, meat, veggies, etc.) 
Last name S-Z: desserts (cookies, bars, fruit, etc.) 

RSVPs are appreciated by August 2 here. 

The picnic grove is shaded and most tables are under a pavilion. However, IF THERE IS HEAVY RAIN, WE MUST CANCEL. 

Directions: Picnic Grove #1 is located at the corner of Tilden Street (same as Park Road) NW and Beach Drive, across from the Pierce Mill. It is about a 15 minute walk from the Van Ness or Cleveland Park metro stations. Check out the map.
