August 13 - Lee Ann Landstrom ’77
Join Lee Ann to learn the process (the trials and tribulations!) of writing and publishing a children’s book.  Lee Ann, an interpretive naturalist and director of the Eastman Nature Center, also will describe how some amazing animal behaviors help them survive.  The Izaak Walton League of America selected her first book, “Nature’s Yucky!: Gross Stuff That Helps Nature Work,” as the Best Children’s Book of 2003.  Her second book, “Nature’s Yucky! 2: The Desert Southwest” has won national awards.  Copies of both books will be available for sale and signing after her program.
