What happens when two members of the Carleton history department reconstruct Revolutionary Boston as a computer game? Professors Serena Zabin and Austin Mason have been working with Carleton undergraduates and the Old State House Museum in Boston on an immersive, interactive 3d experience of the 1770 Boston Massacre, entitled “Witness to the Revolution.” Come listen to Professors Zabin and Mason discuss the research and process of creating the game. You will get a chance to experience the eighteenth-century city while exploring the hard problems of settling on a singular truth about the past.

Cost: $10 per person (includes lunch)

Directions: Fredrikson & Byron is located in US Bank Plaza, which has two off-white towers that take up the whole block between 5th & 6th Streets and 2nd & 3rd Avenues South. Parking is available in the building (underground) via entry from 5th Street or at the Hennepin County 5th Street lot. Once you've parked, enter the North Tower at the US Bank Plaza, head to the elevators and go up to the 40th floor. As you enter the suite lobby, our conference room will be to your left. Google Maps can provide good driving and public transit directions.
