Please join host Alex Chin '13 for a gallery talk with Carleton faculty Fred Hagstrom, the Rae Schupack Nathan Professor of Art. Fred has been teaching printmaking, drawing, and book arts at Carleton since 1984. He has also led an off-campus program to the South Pacific since 1996.

Join Fred as he gives a private gallery talk at the National Gallery on the exhibit “Edvard Munch: Color in Context," giving Carleton alumni special insights into Munch's striking work. This exhibit features examples of Munch’s innovative approach to color printing. Munch used new approaches to printing in color, particularly in woodblock printing. The National Gallery has one of the strongest collections of his prints outside of Norway.

Continue the conversation after Fred's talk. We will move to The Partisan for more conversation and camaraderie with fellow Carls.

Cost: At The Partisan, purchase your own drinks and/or food.

Directions: Google Maps can be used for directions. The Partisan is a short walk from the Archives Metro Station (green or yellow) or the L'Enfant Metro Station (orange, blue, silver, green, or yellow).
