The Class of '92 and The Seattle Carleton Club invite you to an evening of

Following the Oregon Trail – Relevance of a Liberal Arts Education in Technology

Thursday, October 20, 2016

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Panel Discussion begins at 6:00 p.m.

Living Computer Museum
2245 1st Ave. S, Seattle, WA 98134

Join fellow Carleton alumni for a panel discussion of how Carleton's liberal arts education prepared them for successful careers in the technology field. Don Rawitsch '72 will join via Skype and discuss his role in the creation of the classic computer educational game, "The Oregon Trail." We will also have a panel discussion with local alumni who are pursuing technology careers here in Seattle, including Google, Tableau, and Starbucks.

Not only will our panel be fantastic, so will our event space! We will be at The Living Computer Museum, where we will have exclusive after-hours access to the exhibits. And yes, we will have an opportunity to play games on historic computers—including the Oregon Trail on an Apple IIe. Are you in?

Cost: $25 per person (cost goes towards covering event space)

Make your reservation by October 14 here.
