Please join the NJ Carleton Club for a discussion on racism with Professor Karen Gaffney, an English professor from Raritan Valley Community College, local activist with the Hunterdon County Anti-Racism Coalition and the Central Jersey Community Coalition, and author of Dismantling the Racism Machine: A Manual and Toolbox.

Professor Gaffney works with Caroline Hann and The Meta Theater Company. Their live performances tackle the issues of white privilege, race, class, gender and sexual orientation, and help audiences create social change in their communities.

Lexi Gelperin Ryan '05 knows Prof. Gaffney and Ms. Hann through a community course on racism in Somerville, NJ. Although these are challenging topics, these two individuals are exceptional facilitators. We hope all members of the Carleton community in NJ will try to join us for a unique and important event. Please feel free to bring friends who might be interested in this topic along with you.
