Join us for a day outdoors! We'll start the day from Underhill State Park. There will be three hiking options—something for everyone:

1. Strenuous option: Sunset Ridge trail to the top of Mt. Mansfield. It's three miles up to the Chin (and three miles back, of course). The Chin is the top of Mt. Mansfield, the highest point in Vermont. The first mile is on a road, but the rest is steep.

2. Moderate option: Cantilever Rock, 1.7 miles up. The first mile is on the road and the next .7 miles is on the trail.

3. Leisurely option: Take CCC road as far as you wish.

Please bring your hiking gear and your own food and drink for a post-hike picnic.

Cost: $9 per person park entry and picnic area fee.

Directions: From the south, take Route 15 to Underhill and bear right on River Road, which changes to Pleasant Valley Road in Underhill Center. Turn right on Mountain Road to Underhill State Park. From the north, take Route 15 to Cambridge and head south on Pleasant Valley Road. Turn left on Mountain Road to the park. (Hint: Underhill State Park is pretty much all there is on Mountain Road. Head to the end of the road and you'll see it.)
