Have you had enough of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump? Of course not! You're a Carl! So, join the Chicago Carleton Club for its event with Robert Strauss '73, who will be interviewed by former Chicago Magazine editor Dick Babcock about his irreverent biography of James Buchanan. The book, Worst. President. Ever. looks at how and why we rate presidents, why we historically have not always gotten the best people to run, what we can learn from even a failed presidency and other riffs from his own lifelong offbeat look at the presidents.

Robert Strauss '73 was a reporter for Sports Illustrated, a feature writer for the Philadelphia Daily News and a producer in sports and news for KYW-TV in Philadelphia. He has taught non-fiction writing at the University of Pennsylvania since 1999 and has been a freelance writer since that time, with his main client being the NY Times, where he has had more than 1000 bylines.

Cost: Free
