Summer Send-Off

The annual Summer Send-Off is a long-time Carleton DC Club tradition. It’s our way to welcome the incoming class of 2014, and the best opportunity we have all year for the entire Carleton DC community to get together. We’ll have outdoor games and light refreshments. There will also be beach volleyball!
New students and their parents – Come have some fun Carleton-style before you head out to Minnesota!
Returning students and alumni – We invite you to welcome the new students to Carleton!
Parents of returning students – Welcome (and reassure) our new Carleton parents!
Alumni with children – This is a perfect event for you and your family!
Prospective students and their parents – Come and find out what Carleton is all about!
Please bring a snack to share: (The hosts will provide beverages and paper products.)

Directions:
Quincy Park is located in the Va Sq. neighborhood of Arlington, between Fairfax and Washington Boulevards, right behind Arlington’s Central Library. The picnic shelter is on the northeast corner of the park, near the intersection of Washington Blvd & Nelson St.
Metro: Quincy Park is 2 blocks from the VaSq-GMU metro and 5 blocks from the Ballston Metro on the Orange Line (see below).
Bus: Take the 38B (which goes down Washington Boulevard) and get off at Nelson St or Quincy St.
Driving: From DC, Take 66-W and exit at Glebe Rd, take a left, take a left at Washington Blvd, and the park will be on your right after Quincy St. From the Beltway, take 66-E and also exit at Glebe Rd, take a left, then a right on Washington Blvd. Link to park main page: http://www.arlingtonva.us/departments/parksrecreation/scripts/parks/QuincyPark.aspx
