wine and cheese with
Martha Larson, Carleton Manager of
Campus Energy and Sustainability

Sunday, October 14, 2012, 4 p.m.

at the home of
Bruce ’63 and Gretchen Johnson ’64 Keeler

Join fellow Carls for a discussion with Martha Larson, Manager of Campus Energy and Sustainability. Martha will share the current initiatives and short-term objectives of the Sustainability office, an overview of the Carleton Climate Action Plan and an overview of Carleton's student-work Sustainability Assistant (STA) program and curricular ties.

Martha Larson is Carleton’s first Manager of Campus Energy and Sustainability.  Ms. Larson's responsibilities include:  managing summer construction and energy efficiency projects, coordinating campus sustainability outreach and programming efforts, shepherding the Carleton Climate Action Plan initiatives, and managing a group of eight student sustainability assistants (STAs) who conduct projects focused on waste, energy, food systems, procurement, and data management. In her spare time, Ms. Larson is also a jazz cellist and vocalist and enjoys working on house projects with her husband, Nat (who is Carleton's digital archivist).

Wine, cheese, other drinks and appetizers will be provided. $5 per person will be collected at the door. Hangers-on are welcome. Parking is very limited, so please carpool if at all possible.
