September 14: Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd (author of The Secret Life of Bees). Fictionalized account of the Souther abolitionist Grimke sisters and a slave girl in their household. Very popular with book clubs. Note: this meeting will be held the second Monday of the month as the first Monday is Labor Day.
