Join host Carol Barnett '86, co=host Leah Karels '09 and the Carleton Chicago Club in welcoming Professor Emerita Mary Moore Easter to the Windy City for an evening of poetry, as she reads from her most recent collection, The Body of the World. Award-winning Minnesota poet Margaret Hasse describes Easter’s poetry as surging and snapping “with energetic language, strong currents of emotion, and clear-eyed observation." Professor Mary Easter, the Rae Schupack Nathan Professor of Dance and the Performing Arts, is a nationally acclaimed poet and writer as well as a dancer and choreographer. During her time at Carleton, she founded and directed the Dance program, as well as serving as the Director of the African-American Studies program.

Refreshments will be served.

Respond by Monday, April 22, if you would like to attend, by clicking HERE and completing the subsequent form.
