Kracum Performance Hall Opens Saturday September 16 with Faculty Gala Concert

On Saturday, September 16 at 7:00 p.m., Carleton's Music Department faculty will take the brand-new Kracum Performance Hall for a test drive with a Gala Recital evening. The evening will showcase the talents of the College's full- and part-time faculty, in a collection of performances to inaugurate the crown jewel of the new Music and Performance Commons at the Weitz Center for Creativity. Performers will include Nicola Melville, Matt McCright, Ronald Ronman, Hector Valdivia, Laura Caviani, Gao Hong, Mark Kreitzer, and many more! The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are free and open to the public; general admission seating begins at 6:30 p.m.

    I congratulate all who made the Gala Recital so successful last night. I saw few empty seats. A number of the performances are worth hearing again, so I wonder: will recordings be rebroadcast, by chance? Ed
