6th Annual Summer Film Festival

Carleton is partnering with the Cannon Valley Elder Collegium for the sixth time to present the annual Northfield Summer Film Festival, a series of four classic films focusing on this year’s theme: Film Noir! All are free and open to the public, and they’ll screen at 7:30pm on Tuesdays July 10–31 in the Weitz Center cinema.

  • July 10: Murder, My Sweet (1944) Presented by Carol Donelan
  • July 17: The Third Man (1949) Presented by Karen Achberger and Charlie Black
  • July 24: Sunset Boulevard (1950) Presented by Eric Nelson
  • July 31: Le Samouraï (1967) Presented by Bjorn Nordfjord

In connection with the above films, CVEC is again offering a course of seminars, each given at 9:30 the following morning and led by the presenter of the week’s film. Visit the CVEC website for more information and to register for seminar courses.
