Art Without Boundaries Exhibit

Tue, January 29, 2019 - Sun, February 10, 2019 • Hamlin Creative Space, WCC M005

Max Lyonga is a contemporary Cameroonian painter. He is a largely self-taught artist who has been in the world of painting for more than 20 years. He calls his approach 'mokwe' style, for he mixes abstraction with impressionism and paints with acrylics and local materials. Lyonga believes painting should take people on a journey of hope and joy.

Art Without Boundaries is a collection of paintings done before the English speaking crisis, along with those created after moving to the French speaking area. It is a journey within two mental states of inspiration.
