Zenon Dance Company Performance

One of the nation's premier repertory dance companies, Twin Cities-based Zenon Dance Company is recognized for its stylistic diversity, fearless physicality, and emotional intelligence. Zenon Dance will bring its dynamic blend of modern and jazz to Carleton for a performance on Friday, Jan. 11 at 7:30pm in the Weitz Theater.

This performance is free, unticketed, and open to the public.

The Weitz Center for Creativity program includes four works:

  • Eternal Reveal by New York choreographer Gregory Dolbashian which showcases fierce intimacy and physicality. “...the splendid Zenon dancers infuse abstract dance architecture with a human pulse.” – City Pages
  • Just Her Time by Minnesota choreographer Wynn Fricke is a reflection on grief accompanied by a lamenting score by David Lang. “A haunting ritual of passage, emotionally taut and mysterious... riveting.” – Gus Solomons, Jr.
  • Procession by New York choreographer Sam Kim is a new work set to music by Sarah Register
  • Pink Martini by Minnesota choreographer Mariusz Olszewski’s — a scintillating tribute to the mambo, cha-cha, and salsa. “... tremendously fun...” – St. Paul Pioneer Press
