Ehren Tool,  6:00-7:00 pm - The Cups of War Project-

Ehren Tool is a ceramic artist and Senior Laboratory Mechanician at the Ceramic Department at University of California, Berkeley, and Marine Veteran of the 1991 Gulf War. Ehren will introduce us to his Million Cup Project, about which he has written: 'I am compelled to make work that talks about the strange places where military and civilian cultures collude and collide. My intention when I make and share my work is to make and share MY work. I have made and given away more than 18,000 cups since 2001. I believe the cup is the appropriate scale to talk about war. The cups go into the world hand-to-hand, one story at a time.'

J.A. Moad, II,  8:00-9:00 - 'Outside Paducah, The Wars at Home', Applebaum Recital Hall

Jay Moad, a playwright, pilot, performer and veteran from Northfield, will perform Act III of his play, “Outside Paducah – the Wars at Home” and discuss the significance of war writing and the importance of sharing the stories of Veterans through the Veterans' Voices initiative. His New York debut was recently nominated for Outstanding Solo Performance, NYIT Awards.
