Conversation with Pig Iron Theatre Company

Thu, February 14, 2019 • 12:00pm - 1:00pm (1h) • WCC 236

Arts@Carleton and the Theater Department are proud to welcome members of award-winning Pig Iron Theatre Company to campus this year for the Ward Lucas Lecture Series in the Arts. This year, the Lucas takes a slightly different form as Pig Iron artists guide Carleton students in the creation of an entirely original theatrical piece which will premier at the Weitz Center on Friday, Feb. 15. Since 1995, Pig Iron has created over 30 original works and toured to festivals and theaters across the globe; received two prestigious OBIE awards; and partnered with the University of the Arts to offer a Graduate Certificate and MFA in Devised Performance. Join us at noon on Thursday, Feb. 14 in Weitz 236 as Pig Iron Artistic Director Dan Rothenberg discusses the company's mission, their unique artistic process, and shares samples of their innovative work.

Boxed lunches for the first 50 attendees.
