The Carleton College baseball team swept a Sunday afternoon doubleheader against University of Minnesota-Morris, prevailing by scores of 5-1 and 7-1 in what is believed to be the earliest outdoor NCAA varsity baseball games ever played in the state of Minnesota.

Caroline Mather earned her first conference title when she won the 100-yard freestyle at the MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday evening. That result helped the Carleton College women’s swimming and diving team finish third in the team standings, the program’s best showing at the conference meet since 2011.

Meg Mathison won the 1000-meter run and raced on the Knights’ victorious 4x400 relay as the Carleton College women’s track and field team sent a delegation to race at the University of Minnesota Parents Day Open

First-years Daamir Robinson and Bryan Richter won the 60- and 400-meter dashes, respectively, at the Tostrud Classic. Those were just two of several strong performances at the meet for the Carleton College men’s track and field team.

The Carleton College men’s basketball team will haul its 13-game winning streak into the MIAC playoffs after a thrilling 63-60 victory over Gustavus Adolphus College on Gus Young Court. Kent Hanson scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half to lead the Knights.
