Carleton College 5K for Hope

May 9, 2013 at 1:07 pm

This Saturday, May 11, Carleton will host the 5K for Hope. The race will begin at 11:00am at the Carleton College Rec Center.

All proceeds generated from the race will go to the HOPE Center. The mission of the HOPE Center is to create zero tolerance for sexual and domestic violence. Through innovative programming, they offer direct support to victims of violence in Rice County, collaborative support to other organizations that serve victims, and educational support to the entire community. For more information, go to hopecentermn.org.

Early registration is now over, but you can still pre-register online here for $15 dollars, and t-shirts will be available while supplies last. Same day registration is also possible, but with cash or check only. Participants must also fill out a waiver before running or walking.

For any questions regarding payment, contact chowl@carleton.edu.

Parking will be available in the lot behind the Recreation Center.  Overflow parking will be available off Highway 19 by the lower Arb entrance.

In the case of rain, the race will continue as scheduled.  In the case of severe weather, the race will be delayed two hours or moved indoors.
