Pair of Knights take home weekly awards

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Two members of the Carleton College men’s swimming and diving team garnered recognition for their performances last weekend. Jack Dalluge (So./Waverly, Minn./Watertown-Mayer) was voted the MIAC Swimmer-of-the-Week, while Andrew Chang (Fy./Vancouver, Wash./Union) received distinction as the MIAC Swimmer-of-the-Week.

Dalluge had his best meet of the year as Carleton topped Saint John's in a dual meet on Saturday. He posted a trio of season bests, winning a pair of individual events and placing second in another. Dalluge touched the wall in 1:45.27 for a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and won the 100-yard freestyle with a career-best time of 49.24. While finishing second in the 500-yard freestyle to a teammate, he clocked his best time of the year at 5:05.38. Additionally, the sophomore concluded the meet by anchoring the Knights' victorious 200-yard freestyle relay, which finished in 1:29.14.

Chang paced the Knights with three individual wins. He picked up top honors in the 100-yard backstroke with a career-best mark of 55.16, while earning top honors in the 100-yard butterfly at 52.81 and 200-yard IM at 2:01.21.

Carleton will host St. Olaf College for Senior Day on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m.
