GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Caroline Mather (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista) closed out her collegiate career by swimming the 100-yard freestyle on day four of the NCAA Division III Championships. This was the third event she swam at Nationals, having previously raced the 50- and 200-yard freestyle competitions.

Mather clocked a time of 51.94, tied for 33rd out of 57 entrants in the 100 free. That exactly matched her seeding heading into the national championships.

Earlier in the week, Mather swam the 50-yard freestyle, reaching the wall at 23.54, finishing 0.02 second from qualifying for the event finals. In the 200-yard freestyle, she finished 38th with a time of 1:54.75.

This was Mather’s second career trip to Nationals, having previously competed at the 2017 NCAA meet. That year, she earned All-America recognition by placing seventh in the 100-yard freestyle and was 12th in the 50-yard freestyle to capture All-America Honorable Mention.
