DUNDAS, Minn. – The Carleton College softball team saw its four-game win streak snapped as the Knights dropped both ends of a Saturday night twinbill against No. 11 University of St. Thomas.

GAME 1 RECAP
Sarah Ogle
(Sr./San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker School) kept the Tommies (24-4, 10-2 MIAC) off the scoreboard until an error opened the door for the visitors to plate a trio of unearned runs in the fifth. St. Thomas scored five more times in the sixth inning to seal the victory.

Ogle dropped to 5-2 on the season as the Carleton (21-8, 7-5 MIAC) bats were limited to only two hits.

GAME 2 RECAP
Natalie Maurice
(Jr./Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) gave the Knights the early lead, belting an opposite field home run to lead off the second frame. It was her fourth home run of the season and eighth of her career.

St. Thomas scored single runs in the third, fourth, and sixth frames against Carleton starter Maddie Sherwood (Sr./Tinley Park, Ill./Victor Andrew).

The Knights threatened in the fifth and seventh frames but stranded runners at third base both times.

Sherwood went the distance, but like Ogle, saw her record slip to 5-2 this year.

UP NEXT FOR THE KNIGHTS
Carleton is scheduled to visit Macalester College on Sunday, April 14.
