The MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships will be held Feb. 14-16 at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center. All-American Erik Klontz (Sr./Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) highlights several strong swimmers for the Carleton men, while Sophie Pilhofer (Sr./Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Visitation) leads the women’s team and looks to defend her 50-yard freestyle title from a year ago.
Fans will be treated to an action-packed three days with six total sessions, including both a morning and an evening session on each day. The morning sessions—each starting at 10:30 a.m.—will feature preliminary races and diving. The evening sessions will follow each day at 6:30 p.m. with event finals, diving and medal stand ceremonies. Doors will open at 9 a.m. for each morning session and at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The doors for Saturday's final session will open at 3 p.m.
Tickets are available at either a single-session rate ($8 for adults / $4 students), or all-session passes ($40 for adults / $20 students) will also be available for purchase for fans who plan to attend the entire event. The price of admission includes a heat sheet at each session
NOTE: Due to construction at the U of M, the only working entrance to the facility will be on the University Ave. side.
As in years past, all six sessions will be broadcast live online by Webcast America.
There will also be "live results” available online with results updated shortly after the conclusion of each event for fans following the action from afar.
The site features the complete event schedule, team-by-team previews, psych sheet, ticket information, venue information and a map, as well as links to the live broadcast and results, and more.
