Why did you decide to come to Carleton?

I chose Carleton because of its location, size, emphasis on student-faculty interaction, and laid-back atmosphere.

What have been some of the differences between college and high school sports?

College sports, for the most part, require more of a time commitment and thus greater time management ability. This is especially true when factoring in the amount of effort required in college courses compared to high school classes.

How do you balance academics, sports, and other activities?

I stopped playing video games, for one. But seriously, I just learned to manage time a lot better. I think you have a similar amount of free time in college because the increased workload is balanced by less class-time. From there, you just need to decide what your priorities are.

What are some of your team's traditions?

We go to Myrtle Beach every Spring Break. It is one of my favorite parts of the year.

What is your favorite thing about Carleton?

The faculty. Also the academic freedom.

What would you say to a high school student-athlete considering Carleton?

Be prepared to work hard academically. School comes first at Carleton.
