BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Representing the Carleton College baseball team, Wilson Battle (Jr./Salt Lake City, Utah/Skyline Senior) was named to the 2019 MIAC Baseball All-Conference First Team for his efforts in the batter’s box and on the mound this season. This is his first time receiving All-MIAC recognition.

As part of a conference-wide sportsmanship initiative, the MIAC also announced the 13th annual All-MIAC Sportsmanship team for baseball. Matt Rubin (Sr./Hawthorne, N.Y./Westlake) was tabbed as Carleton’s representative on the team. Members of the All-MIAC Sportsmanship team are selected by their coaches and teammates as individuals who demonstrate ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field of competition.

Rubin hit at a .309 clip in his senior campaign, also wrapping up the season with a .419 on-base percentage, which ranked 17th in the conference. He drew 14 walks and drove in 10 runs for the Knights. On the defensive side, he boasted a .973 fielding percentage as an outfielder.
