    The Carleton College football team closed the 2017 campaign on the road at Gustavus Adolphus College. The Knights struggled to get into a rhythm on offense and committed five turnovers in absorbing a 52-0 setback.

    In its final home contest of the 2017 campaign, the Carleton College football team fell to No. 19-ranked Concordia College, 35-12. This marked the final game at Laird Stadium for the football class of 2018.

    Knights' bid for Goat Trophy knocked aside at St. Olaf

    With the Goat Trophy up for grabs, the Carleton College football team found itself in another tight back-and-forth battle with cross-town foe St. Olaf College. The Knights absorbed a heart-breaking 29-26 setback when a potential game-winning touchdown pass was knocked away with only 25 seconds remaining in the game. This was the sixth straight year that the rivalry game was decided by seven points or less.

    Knights drop rain-soaked Homecoming game to No. 8 Saint John’s

    The Carleton College football team hosted No. 8-ranked Saint John’s University for Homecoming on a rainy afternoon. The Knights kept the game close early, but the Johnnies were eventually able to pull away for a 35-0 result.

    The Carleton College football team hit the road for a MIAC contest at Bethel University. The Knights kept the game close early, but the Royals were able to take advantage of Carleton’s three first-half turnovers as the hosts pulled away for a 49-0 result.

    The Carleton College football team visited Hamline University on Saturday evening, and the Knights dropped a 30-19 result. In doing so, they absorbed their first loss under the lights since at least the 2003 campaign.
