NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Despite playing out of position due to an injury along the Knights’ frontcourt, senior wing Scott Theisen (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) turned is a pair of spectacular performances last week. Those efforts earned him one of five spots on the national Team-of-the-Week for Dec. 10-16.

Theisen averaged 28.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in Carleton’s two contests as he shot .528 (19-of-36) from the field, 5-of-13 from beyond the arc, and 13-of-17 at the charity stripe. He enters the holiday break leading the MIAC at 24.0 points and 5.7 assists per conference game.

He tallied career highs with 31 points and 14 rebounds—his fourth career double-double—in a 78-75 overtime loss at Concordia on Tuesday. He also added three assists and a steal.

In Carleton’s last game of 2012, Theisen poured in 25 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and equaled his season high by handing out seven assists in a Friday's victory over Bethany Lutheran, a squad had taken No. 5 St. Thomas to overtime earlier in the week.

The Knights open the New Year at St. Thomas on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 7:30 p.m.
