NEW ORLEANS-- Last week, the Men’s Cross Country team achieved a ranking in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division III Coaches poll for the first time since 2007. After being idle this past week, the Knights jumped from No. 29 in the nation to No. 21 in the most recent poll. In addition, the Knights maintained their No. 2 ranking in the Central Region behind cross-town rival St. Olaf, who is ranked No. 10 nationally.
Carleton will look to continue its streak of success this Friday (October 4) at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Open. The last time the Knights went to UW-Eau Claire’s invite in 2011, the team finished ninth out of 22 teams who competed at the invite.
