NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Coming off a very strong showing at the Roy Griak Invitational, the Carleton College women’s cross country team moved up five spots and now sits No. 10 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings. Meanwhile, the Carleton men did not run last weekend and remained fourth in the regional but slipped one slot to No. 28 in the national rankings.

This is the highest the Carleton women have climbed in the national rankings since holding down the ninth spot late in the 2011 season. The Knights also stay atop the central region rankings for the second consecutive week.

Both Carleton squads will be in action this Saturday, Sept. 30 as the Knights host the Running of the Cows. The men’s race is slotted for a 10:30 a.m. start with the women beginning at 11:30 a.m.
