NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Evan David (So./Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) paced the No. 19-ranked Carleton College men’s cross country team as the Knight battled rival St. Olaf at the annual Great Karhu Shoe Race. This time around the Oles prevailed by a 22-37 tally.

This race marks the conclusion of the 2018 competition slate for those Knights not selected to run at the upcoming NCAA Regional meet.

David posted a time of 26:55.6, while finishing second overall. Keenan Ronayne (Sr./Faribault, Minn./Faribault) was Carleton’s second runner on the day, placing fifth at 27:10.2. Dylan Larson-Harsch (Sr./Shorewood, Wis./Shorewood) was seventh overall with a time of 27:35.7.

Alex Schneider (Sr./Bellingham, Wash./Sehome) and Jesse Shufro-Zletz (Fy./Chicago, Ill./Jones College Prep) rounded out the scoring for the Knights. Schneider finished 12th overall (28:09.0), while Shufo-Zletz was 18th (28:55.0).

Carleton will race next at the NCAA Central Region Championships to be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 in Waverly, Iowa.
