    Knights earn 59 Academic All-Conference awards

    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Winter/Spring 2018 Academic All-Conference honorees, with Carleton College student-athletes earning distinction 59 times. That figure is a 48 percent increase over the previous year. With 94 total Academic All-Conference awards during the 2017-18 academic year, Carleton student-athletes posted their second-highest overall figure since the program adopted new academic and athletic standards prior to the 2005-06 season.

    The Carleton College men’s golf team closed the 2017-18 campaign with modified match play against cross-town foe St. Olaf College. At stake was the famed “Rusty Putter” trophy, which remains in the Knights’ possession following a 7.5-7.5 tie.
