ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Carleton College men’s soccer team surrendered an early score and fell, 1-0, to Hamline University in an away clash on Saturday afternoon.

Though the Knights peppered Hamline’s goal with shots all game, an early strike from the Pipers’ Adam King proved insurmountable as the Knights dropped to 5-2-0 (1-1-0 MIAC) on the year.

The sixth-minute goal was one of only three shots on target allowed by Carleton’s stingy backline. The Knight attack registered 14 shots from 10 different players.

Kamran Kelly (So./St. Paul, Minn./Central) and Tashi Tsering (Jr./Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) both put in 90-minute shifts, anchoring a defensive unit that kept Carleton in the game despite a potent Hamline attack.

The Knights are on the road again this Friday, Sept. 22 as they head back to the Twin Cities to take on Macalester College in another MIAC meeting. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
