    Knights wrap up regular season at Gustie Challenge

    The Carleton College men’s swimming and diving team concluded the pre-conference meet portion of its schedule at the Gustie Challenge. The unscored, two-day competition served as the final meet of the season for three squad members, while the rest of the roster used the weekend as a final tune-up for the MIAC Championships to be held in two weeks.

    It came down to the final event of the day, but the Carleton College men’s swimming and diving team was able to edge St. Olaf College, 133-129, on Senior Day.

    Knights win seven events to edge Saint John’s

    The Carleton College men’s swimming and diving team reached the wall first in seven events and defeated Saint John’s University by a score of 146-133. Will Altaweel swam season-best times in the 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard butterfly, and 200-yard IM events to score critical points for the Knights in this tight dual meet. His performances earned him the team’s “Can of Corn” award.
