NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College men’s swimming and diving team returned to competition for the first time in a month as the Knights hosts Gustavus Adolphus College on Friday evening.

While the Gusties claimed the top individual result in each event, Carleton turned in a half-dozen runner-up results:
• The Knights were second in the 200-yard medley relay. Eli Offman (Fy./Toronto, Ont./Canada Greenwood College), Ryan Wetzel (Jr./Salem, Ore./West Salem), Andrew Chang (So./Vancouver, Wash./Union), and Jack Dalluge (Jr./Waverly, Minn./Watertown-Mayer) combined on a season-best time of 1:40.16.
• Offman took second place in the 100-yard backstroke, posting a season-best time of 56.63.
• Chang was the runner up in the 200-yard butterfly by reaching the wall at 2:01.27. He also finished second in the 100 fly at 53.58. Both times smashed his previous season bests.
• Jack Heinzel (So./Pennington, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) placed second by 0.04 in the 50-yard freestyle when he finished in 22.26.
• Heinzel, Nick Reeves (Jr./Kirkland, Wash./Lake Washington), Stevie Fitch (So./Redmond, Wash./Nikola Tesla Stem School), and Dalluge combined on a time of 1:30.36 in the 200-yard medley relay.

Carleton is right back in the water on Saturday, Jan. 12 as they head to the Luther College Sprint Invite in Decorah, Iowa. Links to live video and live results are available via Knights Online.
