    Knights, 10 players score ITA academic awards

    The Carleton College men’s tennis squad was tabbed an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) following the 2016-17 season, marking the 14th time since 2003 that the Knights have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom. A team-record 10 Carleton players also received individual recognition as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

    Knights earn 40 Academic All-Conference awards

    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Winter/Spring 2016-17 Academic All-Conference honorees today, with Carleton College student-athletes earning distinction 40 times. To qualify for recognition, student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

    Knights rally back but fall to Tommies in MIAC semifinals

    After finding themselves in a 3-0 hole, the Carleton College men’s tennis team battled back to level its MIAC Playoffs semifinal match vs. University of St. Thomas at 4-4. The season came down to the final singles match, and the last Tommie on the court prevailed in three sets.

    Knights headline MIAC Men’s Tennis Awards

    The Carleton College men’s tennis team was well represented as the MIAC announced its season-ending awards. Senior Patton McClelland was tabbed for the Arthur Ashe Award, and head coach Stephan Zweifel was honored as conference Coach-of-the-Year. The Knights also accumulated a team-record seven All-MIAC awards.

    Jordon O’Kelly serves up second career MIAC weekly award

    Jordon O'Kelly went 4-0 over the final week of the regular season, notching a pair of wins in both singles and doubles to help the Carleton College men’s tennis team secure second place in the standings. For his performances, O’Kelly was tabbed the MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete-of-the-Week.
