NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Jordon O'Kelly (So./Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) went 4-0 over the final week of the regular season, notching a pair of wins in both singles and doubles to help the Carleton College men’s tennis team secure second place in the standings. For his performances, O’Kelly was tabbed the MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete-of-the-Week.

On Saturday, O’Kelly posted a pair of quick triumphs versus Macalester, winning 8-1 in doubles before notching a 6-2, 6-1 result in singles. The next day against St. Thomas, he and playing partner Sahil Chhugani battled for a 9-8 triumph. O’Kelly then rallied from a set down to win 4-6, 6-2, 10-5. Those two results swung the match in the Knights’ favor and earned Carleton a home match in the MIAC Playoffs semifinals.

This is his second career conference weekly award, and O’Kelly becomes the third Knight to take home the award this season.

Carleton, which notched its 15th consecutive season with a top-two finish in the conference, will host St. Thomas in the semifinals of the MIAC Playoffs on Thursday, May 4 at 3:30 p.m.
