LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Carleton College men’s track and field team sent its 4x400-meter relay team to the UW-La Crosse Qualifier on Thursday in hopes the group could improve its standing on the national qualifying list.

Bryan Richter (Fy./Des Moines, Iowa/Abraham Lincoln), Ben Withbroe (Sr./Takoma Park, Md./Albert Einstein), Donson Cook-Gallardo (Jr./Moscow, Idaho), and Joey Cook-Gallardo (Fy./Moscow, Idaho) teamed up to take sixth in the relay with a time of 3:18.00. That fell short of their season-best time of 3:16.57, which ranks Carleton in the top-25 in the nation. Only 16 relays will be accepted for entry at the NCAA Championships on May 25-27.
