History:
The Knights have three national champions and scored points at the NCAA Championships seven times at the national indoor meet and 24 times at the national outdoor meet (30th among all D-III programs. Carleton’s best finish at both championships is eighth place… Carleton hosted the NCAA Outdoor Championships three times (1984, 1988, and 1995).

Since 2000, Carleton has had 74 All-MIAC and seven All-America performances. Head Coach Dave Ricks has led the Knights to top-five finishes three times at the MIAC Indoor Championships and twice at the MIAC Outdoor Championships. The Knights captured four individual outdoor titles in 2004, including Matt Hooley’s ’04 astounding trifecta in the 1,500-, 5,000-, and 10,000-meter runs.
