Men's Track & Field at San Francisco State Distance Carnival

Huderle Paces Knights at SFSU Distance Carnival

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Carleton College men’s track and field capped its spring break by competing against mostly Division I and II athletes at the San Francisco State University Distance Carnival.

Marcus Huderle (Jr./Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) turned in the top finish for the Knights, placing sixth overall in the 3000-meter steeplechase. He notched a time of 9:23.35. Teammate Brian Spisiak  (Sr./Elmhurst, Ill./York) finished 20th with a time of 10:09.42.

Noah Laack-Veeder (So./Madison, Wis./Robert M Lafollette) was 22nd overall in the 800-meter run, with a time of 1:57.11. His brother, Thor Laack-Veeder (So./Madison, Wis./Robert M Lafollette), placed 39th in the same event at 1:59.34.

Hart Hornor (Fy./Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) and Jacob Hoerger (Jr./Chapel Hill, N.C./Chapel Hill) raced to 45th and 46th-place results out of 71 competitors in the 10,000-meter run. Horner recorded a time of 32:36.90, while Hoerger finished at 32:38.29.

Carleton will take part in the Hamline Invitational on Saturday, April 6.
