    Knights earn 59 Academic All-Conference awards

    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Winter/Spring 2018 Academic All-Conference honorees, with Carleton College student-athletes earning distinction 59 times. That figure is a 48 percent increase over the previous year. With 94 total Academic All-Conference awards during the 2017-18 academic year, Carleton student-athletes posted their second-highest overall figure since the program adopted new academic and athletic standards prior to the 2005-06 season.

    ‘C’ Club Hall of Fame to add five new members

    In conjunction with Carleton College’s Alumni Reunion Weekend activities, five new members are to be welcomed into the 'C' Club Hall of Fame: football player Mark Williams ’73, three-sport star Madeleine McAfee ’78, track and field All-American Jeff Brown ’88, Olympian Philip Dunn ’93, and former men’s tennis coach Bob Bonner.

    Four Knights earn MIAC postseason awards

    Women’s basketball players Katie Chavez, Anne Hamilton, and Nia Harris were recognized by the MIAC for their efforts during the 2017-2018 season. Chavez was named to the All-MIAC squad, with Hamilton gaining All-MIAC Honorable Mention recognition, and Harris being named to the conference’s All-First Year Team. Additionally, Sarah Paller was the Knights’ representative on the All-Sportsmanship squad.

    Knights fall at Bethel in season finale

    The Carleton College women’s basketball team dropped its season finale, falling, 95-59, at Bethel University. Senior Sarah Waldfogel tallied a team-high 16 points as the curtain closed on her collegiate career.

    Knights’ long-range shooting takes down St. Olaf, 79-44

    The Carleton College women’s basketball team matched a team record with 13 three-pointers as the Knights routed rival St. Olaf College, 79-44, and maintained possession of the President’s Cup. Caroline Hull and Katie Chavez both drained four 3-pointers to lead the Carleton long-range attack.

    Knights drop Senior Day showdown with Concordia

    The Carleton College women’s basketball team dropped a 66-55 result to Concordia College on Saturday in what was the final home game for the six seniors on the Knights’ roster: Lindsey Chavez, Anna Flitner, Anne Hamilton, Katherine Miles, Sarah Paller, and Sarah Waldfogel.
