    Knights win meets in Oregon and Minnesota

    Showcasing the depth on its roster, the No. 11-ranked Carleton College women’s cross country won two meets on Saturday, capturing the team title at both the Lewis & Clark Invitational in Estacada, Ore., as well as the crown at the St. Bonifacius Invitational closer to home.

    Mathison and Knights win Running of the Cows meet

    The No. 10-ranked Carleton College women’s cross country team dominated the field in winning the Running of the Cows meet on Saturday. Led by Meg Mathison and Emily Kaegi, who finished first and second, the Knights put all five scorers in the top 10 and picked up their second consecutive victory.

    No. 10 Carleton Continues Strong Season with a 1st Place Finish at the Running of the Cows

    The No. 10 ranked Carleton College Women’s cross country team hosted the annual Running of the Cows meet this weekend. Coming off of a first place finish last weekend at the Roy Griak Invitational, the Knights continued their dominance as they finished first in the 12 team race. Carleton's team score of 28 was nearly 50 places ahead of the second place University of St. Thomas (regionally-ranked). The Knights were so dominant today, that they still would have taken first place if you scored their 4th-8th finishers (65 points).

    Knights see shift in national rankings

    Coming off a very strong showing at the Roy Griak Invitational, the Carleton College women’s cross country team moved up five spots and now sits No. 10 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings. Meanwhile, the Carleton men did not run last weekend and remained fourth in the regional but slipped one slot to No. 28 in the national rankings.

    Emily Kaegi named MIAC Athlete-of-the-Week

    Emily Kaegi was the top MIAC finisher at the Roy Griak Invitational, leading the Knights to the team title in the Division III competition. On Tuesday, she was selected as the MIAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete-of-the-Week.
