NEW ORLEANS -- The Carleton Women's Cross Country team earned a No. 15 national ranking in the first weekly USTFCCCA poll. The Knights are one of two MIAC schools ranked among the top-30, as they currently sit just two spots behind No. 13 St. Olaf. Carleton is ranked third in the Central Region rankings, behind Wartburg College (Iowa) and St. Olaf.
The Knights were idle this past weekend, after opening the season at the Saint Mary's Invitational on September 7. Carleton finished the meet at Saint Mary's as the highest placing Division III squad, finishing just behind NCAA Division II Winona State.
The Knights will return to action this weekend when they travel across town for the St. Olaf Invitational.
