    Meg Mathison captures first career MIAC weekly honor

    Meg Mathison was the runner-up in the 321-racer field at the St. Olaf Invitational, helping the Knights finish second in the 23-team field. In recognition of this exceptional performance, she was named MIAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete-of-the-Week.

    No. 23-ranked Knights take second at St. Olaf Invite

    The Carleton College women’s cross country team posted an impressive second-place finish at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday. Running in her very first 6K, Meg Mathison posted an impressive time of 22:22.1, which earned her second place as an individual in the field of 321 racers.

    Greenlee, Knights take second at UWRF

    Running her first collegiate race, Emma Greenlee was the runner up at the UW-River Falls Falcon Invitational to help the Carleton College women’s cross country team place second overall.

    Knights shine under the lights at Augustana Twilight

    The No. 21-ranked Carleton College cross country team raced to a fifth-place finish at the season-opening Augustana Twilight on Friday. The 30-team field included four Division I programs and eight D-II squads. The starting gun went off at 8:30 p.m. as the meet was held under the lights at Yankton Trail Park.

    Knights Secure 24th Straight USTFCCCA Academic Award

    The 2016 cross country season was an extremely successful one for the Carleton College women’s cross country team. For the 24th straight year they earned recognition from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as an All-Academic team. The Knights combined for a 3.57 GPA as a team, which ranked 40th out of all qualifying teams. In addition to the team honors runners Marietta Geist (Fy./Crookston, Minn./Crookston), Emily Kaegi (Jr./Williamstown, Mass./Mount Greylock), Laura Nakasaka (Sr./Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase), Sarah Nazarino (So./Seattle, Wash./Garfield), Nicole Nipper (Sr./Minnetonka, Minn./Minnehaha Academy), and Claire Trujillo (Sr./Anchorage, Ala./Grace Christian) were honored with USTFCCCA All-Academic individual honors.

    Knights Finish 28th at NCAA Championships

    Making its sixth consecutive visit—and 11th trip in 13 seasons—to the NCAA Division III Championships, the Carleton College women’s cross country team wrapped up the 2016 season with a 28th-place finish in the team competition.
