    Knights take care business in crisp win over Macalester

    In a matchup between two longtime rivals, the Carleton College women’s soccer team knocked off Macalester College by a score of 4-1. Hannah Hemmerly and Hailey Mair each had a goal and an assist for the Knights, who out-shot the Scots by a 20-7 margin.

    On a rainy afternoon, the Carleton College women’s soccer team clashed with conference foe Gustavus Adolphus College. While the play was entertaining, both teams came away with only soaked gear to show for their efforts in a 0-0 draw.

    The No. 24-ranked Carleton College women’s soccer team came out on the wrong end of a 1-0 result, dropping a hard-fought battle at Wartburg College, which is receiving votes in the national top-25 poll. This was Carleton’s first setback of the season.

    Hot weather forces changes to Knights schedule

    Unseasonably hot and humid weather conditions in the forecast for Saturday have force schedule shuffling for the Knights. The Carleton College football game against cross-town rival St. Olaf College will have an 11 a.m. kickoff, while the women’s soccer match against Hamline University is slated for a 10 a.m. start. The men’s soccer match against Hamline has been postponed until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
