ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Carleton College women’s soccer team remained unbeaten in MIAC play but slipped out of sole possession of first place in the MIAC after playing to a scoreless draw at St. Catherine University.

This was the fourth time already this season that Carleton (5-1-3, 2-0-2 MIAC) played overtime, with the Knights going 1-0-3 in those contests. The result dropped Carleton one point behind Bethel, St. Olaf, and St. Thomas for the top spot in the conference standings.

Anna Roethler (So./St Louis Park, Minn./St Louis Park) registered a dozen saves, the third-highest total of her career. This was the sixth shutout for the Carleton defense this season, most among MIAC squads this year.

Hailey Mair (Sr./Lexington, Ky./Lexington Catholic) paced the Knights with three shots. She nearly gave Carleton the victory midway through the first overtime period when her 95th-minute shot clanged of the crossbar.

Carleton remains on the road for its next game, a 1 p.m. contest at Concordia College-Moorhead on Saturday, Sept. 29.
