MINNEAPOLIS – Competing against four NCAA Division I programs, the Carleton College women’s swimming and diving team still saw 11 Knights qualify for individual event finals on the last day of competition at the Minnesota Invite.

The meet also included top club swimmers from around the area.

Madison Smith (Fy./Denver, Colo./DSST) and Margaret Lachman (So./New York, N.Y./Nightingale-Bamford) placed 15th and 16th, respectively, in the 1650-yard freestyle as they posted times of 19:01.82 and 19:44.90. All four Knights bettered their seed times.

Lydia Boyum (Fy./Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) swam in the “C” final of the 200-yard backstroke, bettering her prelims time and touching the wall at 2:13.54 to finish 24th.
