GREENSBORO, N.C. – Carleton College senior Caroline Mather (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista) will wrap up her collegiate career with a return to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships to be held from March 20-23 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Mather earned a trip to the NCAA Championships as the 12th seed in the 50-yard freestyle thanks to her time of 23.40 at the MIAC Championships last month. Because she also posted NCAA “B” cut times in both the 100-yard freestyle (51.68) and 200-yard freestyle (1:54.66), Mather is eligible to swim those events at the NCAA Championships as well.

The 50 freestyle will be contested on Wednesday, March 20. The 200 freestyle is slated for March 21, while the 100 freestyle will begin the final day of competition, March 23.

This will be Mather’s second career trip to nationals. She took home All-America recognition in 2017 after finishing seventh in the 100 freestyle. She was 12th in the 50 freestyle at the same meet, earning All-America Honorable Mention. She also swam the 200 freestyle that year, finishing 42nd.

Ada Meyer (Jr./Seattle, Wash./Ingraham) is listed as an alternate for meet. She posted a NCAA “B” cut time of 1:04.39 in the 100-yard breaststroke at the MIAC Championships.
