    No. 39 Knights rally to knock off No. 36 Gustavus

    With their backs against the wall and facing a 4-1 deficit, the Carleton College women’s tennis team kept its title hopes alive by rattling off four consecutive victories—two of them during super tiebreakers and other in a regular tiebreaker— to rally for a 5-4 victory over Gustavus Adolphus College in a matchup of nationally-ranked foes. The triumph keeps the Knights (12-4, 8-0 MIAC) in a tie with St. Thomas atop the MIAC standings.

    The Carleton College women’s tennis team remains in a tie atop the MIAC standings following a 9-0 victory over College of Saint Benedict on Sunday afternoon. The victory was the fourth straight for the Knights, who saw five players win in both singles and doubles.

    Knights dispatch IIAC champion Luther, 8-1

    The No. 38-ranked Carleton College women’s tennis team handily defeated Luther College, by an 8-1 margin on Saturday afternoon. The Knights swept all six singles matches in straight sets en route to the decisive team victory over the Norse, who claimed the Iowa Conference championship during the fall portion of the 2016-17 campaign.
